Vibe coding, geography games and what this means for your business

Hi Reader 🎉

Yesterday afternoon JJ and I spent a few hours doing something that still feels a bit surreal.

We built a geography game together.

It tests countries, capital cities, flags and speed rounds. JJ thinks it’s great. I’ve discovered my geography knowledge is… questionable 😅

What made it interesting though, at least to me, wasn’t the game itself.

It was how we built it.

🛠️ How we built it

We didn’t plan it.
We didn’t spec it out.
We didn’t sit down thinking “let’s build software”.

We just had an idea and started describing it to AI.

That’s when you realise this thing people keep calling vibe coding isn’t really about code at all.

✨ What vibe coding actually is

Vibe coding is building things with AI by describing what you want and refining it as you go.

You’re not writing perfect code.
In fact, you’re not writing code at all.

You’re not worrying about best practice.
You’re not spending months developing an idea or investing a ton of money.

You’re working collaboratively with AI to turn ideas into something real, quickly.

It’s less about technical perfection and more about momentum, creativity and problem-solving.

And once you experience that shift, it changes how you think about what’s possible.

💼 Why this matters for business owners

Games are fun, but this is where it gets practical.

With vibe coding, you could build things like:

  • A simple lead qualifier or quiz
  • A lightweight internal tool your team actually uses
  • A dashboard, calculator, planner or interactive freebie
  • A proof-of-concept before investing properly
  • A client-facing tool that makes your offer feel more premium

No dev team.
No long build cycles.
No overthinking.

Just ideas turning into assets.

🧰 Tools worth knowing about

We used Google AI Studio, which has a solid free option - great for experimenting quickly (just be mindful on the free plan, content is used to improve Google products).

Two others worth knowing about:

  • Lovable
Perhaps, a little more structured and polished. Ideal if you want to turn an idea into a proper product or app without going fully custom. Again has a free plan (restricted by credits).
  • Bolt
Arguably the most generous free tier. Perfect for fast, no-code builds and sharing simple interactive tools.

You don’t need to master all of them. Pick one and play.

🕰️ The quiet irony

I've been harping on about it for long enough, but AI and automation have given me hours back in my business.

And I spent some of that time sitting on the sofa with my son, building something that didn’t need to exist.

That’s the real win.

Not doing more.
Having space to do different things.

So why not give vibe coding a whirl and let me know what you create?

💜 Toni
