Ok, so it’s been a hot minute…🙈

In amongst moving house, some fairly debilitating IBS flare ups 😭 and the world feeling more than a little heavy, I’ve been unusually quiet. Sometimes you just need a little space to breathe.

But as the saying goes, the devil makes work for idle hands, and so of course I’ve also been down a bit of a tech rabbit hole.

Over the past few weeks I’ve been experimenting with a different way of building software for businesses.

Instead of stitching together multiple tools with automations, I’ve been building micro web apps designed to solve very specific business problems.

Two examples I’ve built recently:

Relay

A rebuild of an AI chatbot platform I created to replace the one I was paying nearly £400/month for. It allows businesses to deploy trained AI assistants to answer questions and support customers.

Insights

A diagnostic quiz platform that guides users to personalised results and recommendations based on their answers. If you remember my email about Tally last month, this is the more sophisticated, grown up version of that...

First and foremost these are tools I wanted for myself, as I'm on a mission to replace as much of my monthly business outgoings, with my own tools. But it’s also made me realise that many of them have genuine revenue generating potential as well.

AI and tech is moving so quickly and seeing what’s now possible has been pretty eye opening. Web apps and tools that might previously have taken months to build can now be created in days or weeks.

Things like:

⭐ AI tools trained on your own content or knowledge (not custom GPTs)
⭐ Private client portals or member dashboards
⭐ Smart lead qualification tools that filter enquiries
⭐ Internal tools that replace messy spreadsheets
⭐ Simple SaaS products you’ve always wanted to launch
⭐ Dashboards that pull data together from different systems
⭐ Interactive tools for your audience or customers
⭐ Workflow tools for managing projects, clients or processes

So I’m curious.
