Ascendz turned 3 today 🎉

I’ve been working in the online world since 2016, but these last three years of running Ascendz have been the most transformative yet.

In these past 3 years, I'm so proud of what we've achieved. As a team, we’ve handled over 5,000 support tickets, supported 140+ businesses, and built more funnels and automations than I can even count.

It’s wild to think how different the online business world looks now compared to 2022. Back then, the focus was funnels, email sequences and chasing the next strategy. Now, it’s AI tools, automations and trying to keep up with the speed of change.

But underneath all the shiny new tools and trends, the biggest shift I’ve seen isn’t technology: it’s behaviour.

People are rethinking what growth means. They’re questioning how they spend their time. And more than ever, they want their business to work for them, not consume them.

That’s why I started Ascendz in the first place. I didn’t want to build another “agency”. I wanted to help people create businesses that were sustainable, scalable and supported by smart systems that actually make life easier.

And in three years of doing this work, here’s a snapshot of what I’ve learnt:

1. Tech is no longer the bottleneck: mindset is​
We have more affordable, accessible tools than ever before. Yet most people are still stuck, not because of tech, but because they don’t know where to start or they’re scared of breaking something. Truth is, you don’t need to know everything. You just need to know what to focus on next.

2. AI isn’t a replacement: it’s an amplifier​
AI can write, plan, and even build now, but it can’t replace strategy or judgement. The magic happens when you use it to amplify your expertise, not replace it. The businesses seeing real results are the ones blending AI, automation and human intelligence together, each doing what they’re best at.

3. Systems are the quiet multiplier of success​
They don’t shout. They don’t go viral. But strong systems are what separate the businesses that constantly firefight from the ones that grow smoothly. Every hour you spend creating clarity behind the scenes will save you ten later.

After three years, I can say this with confidence: the businesses that will thrive in the next three years are the ones who value clarity, capability and consistency more than complexity. And I’m incredibly proud that Ascendz gets to help build that foundation for so many.
